The Clergy's actions, disregarding the Bishop's Guidance.

  • Actions by The Reverend Canon Leah Vasey-Saunders.

  • Canon Precentor at Wakefield Cathedral.  ( September 2019 )
Vicar of Lancaster, Lancaster Priory( September 2021 )
  • Leah Vasey-Saunders believes the woman, makes no verification effort.
  • She fails to follow The Bishop's Guidance
  • I hear nothing from Leah Vasey-Saunders.
  • In February 2020 I am excluded from ringing at Wakefield Cathedral.
  • The stress and defamation she started still continues.
  • Impudent actions by The Reverend Mark Watkins.

  • Associate Priest at All Saints Pontefract.  ( September 2019 )
  • Mark Watkins believes the woman, makes no verification effort.
  • He fails to follow The Bishop's Guidance
  • He tell me that as neither of us are members of his parish, there is nothing he can do.
  • Yet he closes down practices immediately.
  • Yet he defines the tower as "a safe space" for the woman.
  • In February 2020 I am excluded from ringing at All Saints Pontefract.
  • The stress and defamation he started still continues.
  • Impudent actions by The Very Reverend Simon Cowling.

  • Dean of Wakefield at Wakefield Cathedral.  ( November 2019 )
  • Simon Cowling believes the woman, makes no verification effort.
  • He fails to follow The Bishop's Guidance
  • He takes hasty, unbalanced action
  • He writes to me, excluding me from ringing at Wakefield Cathedral
      pending investigations
  • He promises an investigation. YET: No investigation has started (February 2022)
  • The Police say that both parties SHOULD be treated equally.
Simon Cowling fails to follow that Police instruction.
  • Total impunity, impenitent elitist.
  • The stress and defamation he started still continues.
  • Impudent actions by The Venerable Peter Townley.

  • Archdeacon of Pontefract.  ( September 2019 )
  • Peter Townley starts consultations with the Clergy involved (September 2019).
  • He fails to follow The Bishop's Guidance
  • He fails to follow The Police Instructions
  • Somehow he was given false information about The Police Investigations
  • In January 2020 (over 3 months later) he holds a meeting with the Clergy involved.
  • He writes to me. This letter is extremely upsetting, inaccurate, clearly defamatory, libelous, against my Human rights and Data Protection laws.
  • He says "no further communications". He refuses to engage.
  • He excludes me from ringing at Wakefield Cathedral
      and at All Saints Pontefract
  • Total impunity, impenitent elitist.
  • The stress and defamation he started still continues.

Conclusions

  • These people are completely out of control
  • They ignore the Law
  • They have no compassion.
  • Preach, yet not act as they preach

My errors

  • I was not pro-active in contacting Peter Townley or Simon Cowling.
  • I should have made The Police letter public.Read the document
  • I was advised to "keep my powder dry"
  • Sadly, that powder is still dry
  • I assumed his meeting was to establish a Core Group.
  • How wrong I was. = IMPUNITY RULES

My recommendations to anyone faced with this situation.

  • Jump on this quickly.
  • Using "Safeguarding" as a weapon
  • The Clergy are easily hoodwinked.
  • Make sure you get the seeds of doubt sown very early.
  • Sadly, this is never ending
  • Over 4 years on
  • The victimisation continues
  • Always a victim
  • Never a survivor
  • The Leaders of The CofE continue to perpetrate abuse
